Do you specialise in placing helpers for Muslim families?

Yes. Medina has been family-run since 2003 (founded by Cik Munah, now under her son Hilmi). Our helpers are trained in halal cooking, household routines, and respectful conduct around prayer times. The majority of our Indonesian helpers are Muslim themselves, so cultural and dietary fit is built in.

Am I eligible to hire a Foreign Domestic Worker in Singapore?

Singapore Citizens or PRs aged 21+ with a household income above S$3,000/month are typically eligible. You'll need to pass MOM's online eligibility tool. We help every first-time employer through this — it's part of our standard service.

What's the total upfront cost for hiring a helper?

Our agency fee starts from S$1,888 — and that includes the S$5,000 security bond and 2-year premium medical insurance. On top of that, you'll budget for the helper's first-month salary. Monthly, most families pay the concessionary levy of S$60.

How long does the placement take?

Transfer maids: 3–7 days from interview to deployment. New hires from source country: 4–8 weeks, depending on documentation and embassy clearance.

What happens if the helper isn't a good fit?

Our standard package includes replacement support during the contract period — we'll help you transfer her to another household and source a replacement. Specific terms are on every signed contract; nothing is hidden.

Can I meet the helper in person before deciding?

Yes, and we encourage it. Walk into our office at 511 Guillemard Road (Grandlink Square, 5 mins from Paya Lebar MRT) for face-to-face interviews with transfer maids. For new hires from source country, we arrange video interviews.
